Nagoya store and TV Aichi Kikaku Co., Ltd. have teamed up with the horror creative company Yami Co., Ltd. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo), which has produced exhibition events such as the "Yukue Fumei Exhibition" and the "Kyofushin Exhibition" that have drawn a cumulative 400 thousand visitors, to hold the new exhibition "Zankyo Shinen Exhibition -Laboratory of Sound and Emotion-", themed on the fear of sound, at PARCO GALLERY (Nagoya PARCO West Building 6F) from October 3, 2026 (Sat). In this laboratory, you become a test subject and experience with your own body how sound manipulates human perception, rewrites emotion and creates the presence of things that do not exist. With Ozaki Sekaikan, who is also a reader of the book of the internet ghost story "Tsune ni Sude ni" (author: Nashi / Yami Co., Ltd.), as navigator, we present an exhibition combining "lingering thoughts" x "reverberation", focused not on the "visual, direct fear" of a conventional haunted house but on "fear felt through the ears" and "the unease of sounds lurking in everyday life". We present a new kind of horror experience that distorts the "sounds" of your everyday life. *All settings are fictional. *This exhibition is a touring exhibition from Ikebukuro PARCO, and after Nagoya it is scheduled to be held in Shinsaibashi. Navigator Ozaki Sekaikan Comment "The part of my own body I trust least, in second place, is my 'ears', and in first place, my 'heart'. Even so, I have always faintly distrusted ears. Compared with the eyes, mouth or nose, there is a strange distance to them, as if I were borrowing them from someone. And the heart is far too close, so I often lose sight of it. So this exhibition, where the sounds you hear with your ears get amplified by your heart, is truly out of its mind, I think. After all, the 'other people' who do something like this are the ones I trust least of all." Ozaki Sekaikan Born in Tokyo in 1984 (Showa 59). Vocalist and guitarist of the rock band "Creephyp", formed in 2001 (Heisei 13). Made his major debut in 2012 with the album "Shinu made Issho Aisareteru to Omottetayo". Published his first novel "Yusuke" in 2016. His other books include "Kuju 100%", "Kuju 200%", "Nakitaku Naru hodo Ureshii Hibi ni", the lyric collection "Shigoto", "Omokage" and more. His novel "Ten no Koe", released in hardcover in July 2024, was selected as his second Akutagawa Prize nominee. In May 2026 he released the new EP "Kari no mama Teichaku shita you na Aijo de", and in June "Ozaki Sekaikan no Kakanakatta Koto Nikki". Laboratory of Sound and Emotion Humans hold their deepest fear toward things invisible and unknown. In today's world overflowing with visual information, isn't it in fact "information entering through the ears" that secretly controls our emotions? Just as an ordinary scene becomes steeped in fear when the sound changes even if the image stays the same, sound easily manipulates human perception. This exhibition is an "experiment" for you to feel that fact for yourself. Please come to the venue and experience how sound rewrites our emotions. *Images are from the Ikebukuro venue. Exhibit contents may change. *Enter at your own risk. We accept no responsibility whatsoever for the results of the experiment. What is "Zankyo Shinen"? It is a coined word combining "zankyo" (reverberation) and "zanryu shinen" (lingering thoughts). What if a "presence (shinen)" that should not exist there could be created by "sound (reverberation)" alone ___. Through 6 laboratories, test subjects will experience how sound manipulates human perception and rewrites emotion. Please confirm with your own ears the moment a formless presence rises up. Even after you leave the venue, that presence will keep echoing like a "reverberation" in the bustle of the streets and the silence of your room. Through your hearing, it may shift your safe everyday life just a little.
