Aida Mayumi Solo Exhibition 'Marionette'

The solo exhibition of the manga artist Maita Mayumi's representative work 'Marionette' will be held from October 28. This is the first official original art exhibition of the manga work 'Marionette,' which was published in the golden age of 1980s girls' manga in Hakusensha's 'Hanayome.' The exhibition will be held at Vanilla Gallery (Kyobashi, Tokyo) from October 28 to November 8. The story centers on the young man Daniel, born into a noble family, and explores themes of love, hatred, desire, lineage, and an inescapable fate.

The work is known for its delicate and elegant brushwork and the deep psychological portrayal of its characters, which created a major sensation among readers at the time. The exhibition will feature approximately 70 pieces, including precious manga manuscripts from the time of serialization and colorful illustration originals that vividly reflect the work's world.
