What it is
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the deployment of the Shinkansen Romance Car EXE (30000 series), the Romance Car Museum will hold an exhibition from October 7, 2026, to December 7, 2026. The exhibition will explore the development of the EXE, which was introduced in 1996 to provide a comfortable travel experience for daily commutes and school trips, as well as for tourism. The EXE's flexible 10-car formation and ability to be split into 6-car and 4-car units have made it a versatile option for various travel needs. The exhibition will feature initial design proposals, manufacturing photos, and brochures from the time of its debut.
