This year, we are focusing on Toyama Prefecture, which is rich in nature and culture, and we are launching the joint project "Toyama Craft Party". Please see below for details. The "Toyama Craft Party" is a joint project by Takashimaya and Hanshin Department Store, focusing on Toyama Prefecture, which is rich in nature and culture. The project aims to introduce the charm of Toyama's craftsmanship and culture, connecting local artisans with new customers and promoting the region's cultural and technical heritage. The event will be held at Takashimaya's Nihonbashi Store from September 23, 2026 (Wednesday, Holiday) to September 29, 2026 (Tuesday), and at the Osaka Store from January 6, 2027 (Wednesday) to January 12, 2027 (Tuesday). At the Nihonbashi Store, the event will take place in the main event space on the 1st floor and in the WAGOTO area on the 7th floor. At the Osaka Store, the event will take place in the Good Shock Place on the 1st floor. At the Nihonbashi Store, glasswork and goldsmith products that embody the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of Toyama will be introduced, along with a wide range of selected local sake and aroma products. In the WAGOTO area on the 7th floor, items that highlight traditional techniques and material characteristics of Toyama will be offered, tailored to modern lifestyles. At the Osaka Store, traditional crafts representative of Toyama, such as Iwaizumi carving and ceramic works, will be introduced, delivering the profound charm of culture and craftsmanship that has been nurtured in Toyama. The event will also be held at Hanshin Department Store's Umeda Main Store from October 21, 2026 (Wednesday) to November 3, 2026 (Tuesday, Holiday). The event will take place in the Koto Koto Stage 12 on the 1st floor. The event will be part of the store's overall theme "Japan and me. Connecting Japanese Beauty and Craftsmanship to the Future". The "Toyama Craft Party" will showcase the diverse charm of Toyama, focusing on emerging artists and craftsmen who are challenging new expressions based on long-standing techniques and culture. The event will introduce the charm of their works and their passion for craftsmanship, highlighting the other charm of Toyama beyond food, covering crafts, food, and lifestyle. The event will convey the beauty and craftsmanship of Toyama that have been nurtured by nature, craftsmanship culture, and craftsmanship.
